In July of 2007 our Driven Student Missions Team served the people of Lakeshore, Mississippi. Our team of 13 students and 6 adults trained and raised funds to travel to Lakeshore, Mississippi which was the site of the “eye of the storm” of Hurricane Katrina.” Lakeshore, MS was devastated with a wall of water 41 feet high which hit at the height of the hurricane.

Now, almost two years after the storm people are still living in FEMA trailers and in makeshift housing. Our team had the opportunity to work with 3 other churches in building houses, clearing building lots and food distribution. Each team member's life was touched by the needs of those devastated by the hurricane and by the dedication and sacrifice of fellow team members.
